Margot Verschoor makes moving images. To connect. To let people into her world for a moment.
She started as a footwear designer. Twenty-five years of craft and material, hands that knew how things were made. Then the ground shifted. Starting over, in her fifties, looking for solid ground in a world that had stopped standing still.
That experience lives in her work. Figures that wobble but keep moving. Forms that breathe. Worlds that feel familiar but not quite. And figures that merge with their surroundings, human and nature together, as if that boundary was never meant to be so sharp.
Technology can execute. But it cannot remember what it felt like. That is still ours.

Margot Verschoor maakt bewegende beelden. Om verbinding te maken. Om mensen even in haar wereld te laten zijn.
Ze begon als schoenontwerper. Vijfentwintig jaar ambacht en materiaal, handen die wisten hoe dingen gemaakt werden. Toen verschoof de grond. Opnieuw beginnen, in haar vijftigste, op zoek naar vaste grond in een wereld die was opgehouden stil te staan.
Die ervaring leeft in haar werk. Figuren die wankelen maar blijven bewegen. Vormen die ademen. Werelden die vertrouwd aanvoelen maar het niet helemaal zijn. En figuren die vergroeien met hun omgeving, mens en natuur samen, alsof die grens nooit zo scherp had mogen zijn.
Technologie kan uitvoeren. Maar het kan niet herinneren hoe het voelde. Dat is nog steeds van ons.

At its center is a figure who is both tree and human, wearing dresses with hand-drawn prints onto which projections of trees blend her further into the forest. A work about disappearing into nature. About the boundary between body and landscape, between the living and the digital.
